Welcome to Foundation Stage!

Parent Information
Focus - Personal, Social and Emotional Development - Managing Self
In Reception, over the next couple of weeks, we will be focusing on strengthening the children's independence, resilience and perseverance, as well as building healthy, safe habits. We are continuing to encourage the children to manage their own personal needs (dressing, toileting, handwashing), make healthy choices, try new activities with confidence and keep going when things feel tricky.
You can support this at home by encouraging independence in daily tasks, promoting routines like toothbrushing and bedtime, talking about healthy food, physical activity and road safety, and praising your child’s effort. We would love you to share any observations or photos of these skills at home on Tapestry. Sharing these moments helps us see the whole picture of your child’s development and celebrate their achievements both at home and in school.
