Reception Molly Quirk's Glen Trip

Penguins and Owls had a fabulous time walking to the local Molly Quirk's Glen. We spoke about Road safety before leaving school and they demonstrated this perfectly as we walked there and back. When we arrived we spoke about keeping ourselves and each other safe in the forest and boundaries. Then we had time to explore the area and the children made homes for the Gruffalo characters, after reading the book a couple of weeks ago. We had snack in the forest too then played a hide and seek game and more exploring time before heading back in time for lunch. We found signs of Autumn; plenty of sticks, leaves, pine cones, bugs and even mushrooms and fairy doors to name a few! The children displayed bundles of resilience, confidence, excitement and collaboration and had an overall great time.
