Blast off into Space with Reception

Reception had an absolute 'blast' learning about Space. We read the stories: Lost in Space and Aliens love Underpants that linked with our Drawing Club (writing sessions). The children are able to come up with their own creative ideas related to the stories and are now beginning to use their Phonics knowledge to write initial sounds and even some CVC words! We have learned about astronauts, rockets, planets, galaxies and thought about what we would take on a trip to Space. We have enjoyed completing different space themed activities to support us in our development from small world space scenes to building rockets and craft activities.
