INTEGRITY - RESPECT - ENDEAVOUR - COMPASSION - COURAGE
Reception had an important job to do this week. Mrs O'Neil alerted us to something strange in the forest area - footprints... big footprints... and she was too scared to investigate on her own so asked if we would explore it for her. We had a discussion about what we think it might be and then paired up to go, feeling brave and a little bit nervous. We found huge footprints that we believed to belong to a T-Rex and proceeded to search for more clues. We then stumbled upon a nest with a partially hatched egg inside. Carefully, we peeped inside and found a tiny baby T-rex. The children decided what to do next and thought it would not be safe to bring it inside school but we don't leave it out in the open so birds and other animals might catch it, so we moved it inside a hedge and covered it with grass and leaves so it was hidden. We then said our next jobs would be to alert Mrs O'Neil and Mrs Richardson and to keep searching for clues!
