INTEGRITY - RESPECT - ENDEAVOUR - COMPASSION - COURAGE
The children were excited to find a basket of eggs had appeared in our classroom! They each selected an egg to adopt and look after. They began by decorating their eggs and then took on the important job of keeping them warm, safe, and nurtured. After lunch, they were delighted to discover that their eggs had hatched, and they had become the proud parents of a little chick!
Each child gave their chick a name and received an adoption certificate. They made a promise to care for their chick, read to it, and play with it. With the help of their Year 6 buddy, they created a cosy nest using a variety of materials, including cotton wool and pom-poms, to make it soft and safe for their chick. The children have now been given a new challenge: to look after their chick at home and record a diary entry of all their adventures!
