The children had so much fun making their very own Gruffalo Crumble! We talked about which edible ingredients could make up the Gruffalo and used our imaginations to bring him to life.
We used grapes and blueberries for his purple prickles all over his back, jelly tots for his poisonous wart, carrots for his orange eyes, raisins for his black tongue, and broken mints for his terrible teeth in his terrible jaw! To finish, we added broken biscuits and crisps on top to give our crumble a satisfying crunch. Then we mixed it all together and gave it a try!
Lots of us loved the unusual mix of flavours and textures — it was a surprisingly delicious treat!
