Today we went out into our forest school area for our literacy lesson! We listened to a soundtrack of a trailer which goes with our next book and picked out the key sounds that we could hear. We were challenged to think of -ing words to help describe what could be happening during the soundtrack and made some predictions. We will be using these initial thoughts and ideas tomorrow. During our time around the fire pit, we also talked about safety and risks during our time in the forest school area and how we need to think carefully before rushing in to do things. As a treat we also got to whittle sticks and toast some marshmallows! We can't wait for our next adventure in forest school!
