WORLD MATHS DAY 2022
Onchan School celebrated World Maths Day 2022 on Wednesday 23rd March 2022. Each class completed a problem solving activity as their morning mission. It was great to see lots of children enjoying Maths as well as some of our older children being incredibly challenged with their difficult problem. It was also great to see some of our younger children using concrete resources to help them with their problem.
Each teacher in school will be choosing a 'Maths Champion' from their class. This is not necessarily the child who is the best at Maths but someone who shows enjoyment, enthusiasm and tries their very best in Maths lessons. The champions will be announced in our Friday assembly and will receive a certificate and a treat.
