Reception have been busy getting ready for the celebration of the school being 150 years old! We have talked all about different types of celebrations, and what you need. The children then helped to decorate our base and made their own bunting flags and cake designs!
The children shared their own experiences of parties and celebrations, talking about the decorations, food and music they enjoy. We also explored how celebrations may have looked different many years ago and compared them to celebrations today. The children worked together brilliantly, using their creativity to design colourful decorations and role-play party planning in our classroom. It has been wonderful to see their excitement as we prepare to celebrate such a special milestone in our school’s history!
