INTEGRITY - RESPECT - ENDEAVOUR - COMPASSION - COURAGE
This morning the Huskies had great time thinking about scientists in our 'Time to Talk' lesson. They started by drawing round each other as a template and then were asked to turn their person into a 'scientist'. They had to think about what they thought a scientist might look like and how they would show that on their picture. The children came up with some wonderful ideas including: whacky hair (for a mad scientist), antennae hat to help a scientist use their senses like an insect would, some children also said that a scientist needed special footwear like boots as protection for when they are making potions. We also had ideas about protective suits, gloves and goggles. They also drew some stains on the clothing to show if the scientist created an experiment that went wrong. All the children had the chance to describe their ideas in their groups and then Mrs Callister asked them if she could be a scientist, because she didn't look like their drawings... She then told them that she could make fireworks in a jar! Take a look at the pictures if you don't believe us!
