Year 4 have travelled back in time today to the Stone Age! It was great to see so much effort going into their outfits and we have had a fabulous day filled with lots of practical activities. Our classroom desks had turned into caves when the children came in and then we spent the first part of the morning outside creating shelters fit for Stone Age people to live in. They had to think about protection from the weather and animals. They then had to be 'Stone Age Estate Agents' and try to persuade others to move into their shelters. We then spent the second part of the morning decorating our classroom caves by painting and drawing using paints and charcoal. This afternoon the children learnt about 'Stonehenge' and created their own biscuit henges to take home, and we also played 'Stone Age Life Charades'.
