INTEGRITY - RESPECT - ENDEAVOUR - COMPASSION - COURAGE
Owls and Penguins had a fabulous time walking to our local Molly Quirk’s Glen! Before leaving school, we talked about road safety, and the children demonstrated this brilliantly as we walked there and back.
When we arrived, we discussed how to keep ourselves and each other safe in the forest, including respecting boundaries. We then had time to explore the area and look for signs of autumn. The children discovered plenty of natural treasures, including sticks, leaves, pinecones, bugs, mushrooms and even fairy doors, to name just a few! After enjoying our snack in the glen, the children had lots of fun playing hide-and-seek and exploring some more. We then headed back to school in time for lunch!
The children showed bundles of resilience and confidence throughout the trip, approaching the experience with excitement, curiosity and a wonderful spirit of collaboration. We had a fantastic time together!
