Year 1 Digger Visit

Yesterday, Year 1 had an exciting experience when a real digger visited the school! Dina from Fox kindly brought along one of the company’s diggers, along with some lovely goodies and colouring activities for the children to enjoy. She also introduced a special colouring competition, with a voucher prize that will be awarded to the winning entry (winner to be announced soon)! During the visit, Dina spoke to the children about what it’s like to work with diggers and explained the important role they play. The children were full of curiosity and asked lots of fantastic questions, which Dina was happy to answer. Every child had the opportunity to sit inside the digger and try on a hard hat, making them feel like real construction workers! To finish off the visit, and with the children watching safely from a distance, Dina gave a demonstration of how the digger moves. A big thank you to Dina for making it so special for our Year 1 children!
