INTEGRITY - RESPECT - ENDEAVOUR - COMPASSION - COURAGE
Reception have been having a great time learning all about minibeasts! We have been classifying minibeasts based on whether they are an insect, mollusc, arachnid, myriapod, crustacean or a worm. The children have shown great enthusiasm when using such big words!
We've been very busy making symmetrical butterfly paintings and exploring a range of beautiful colours to create butterfly collages. We have also been painting pebbles to create ladybirds and bumblebees! During out minibeast hunt in the outdoor area the children were amazed at how many different minibeasts they could find. The children were brilliant at using their new vocabulary, with one child excitedly spotting “a centipede - that's a myriapod!” We also found lots of parson's pigs and granny grunters!
