INTEGRITY - RESPECT - ENDEAVOUR - COMPASSION - COURAGE
As part of our Farm Topic, Year 1 had a wonderful time today at their Wood ‘N’ Craft Workshop. The children were given the choice of making either a cow or a pig from wood. They began by carefully sanding down all of the wooden pieces to make them smooth and ready to work with. Once their pieces were prepared, the children decorated the wood to transform it into their chosen farm animal. During the workshop, the children had the exciting opportunity to use a range of real tools including a drill press, saw, hammer and electric screwdriver. With great care and concentration, they followed instructions and worked step by step to assemble their animals. The finished pieces are brilliant, and we were incredibly impressed with the children’s listening skills, focus and enthusiasm throughout the activity. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that allowed them to be creative while learning new practical skills. Well done, Year 1!
