This week, our Year 5 pupils took part in their Cycling Proficiency training — and they did a fantastic job. Over the course of the programme, the children learned essential road safety skills, including how to control their bikes confidently, signal correctly, observe traffic, and make safe decisions while riding on the road.
It was brilliant to see the children grow in confidence each day. Many pupils challenged themselves outside of their comfort zones and showed excellent focus, resilience, and responsibility throughout the training.
We are incredibly proud to announce that the group successfully passed their cycling proficiency course! Their instructors commented on the children’s positive attitudes, listening skills, and determination to improve.
A huge well done to all of Year 5 for representing the school so well. We hope these important skills will help them stay safe and enjoy cycling for many years to come.
